Our Mission
The Mission of the Home of Grace for Women is “to empower women ages 18 and up on their journey to recovery by providing a comprehensive faith-based substance abuse treatment program designed to promote healing, restoration and holistic transformation.”
Our Vision
Our Vision is to provide a safe environment for women on their journey to recovery from substance abuse while providing resources and support to help them find hope, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Doris Littleton, executive director of Home of Grace for Women, Inc., has been chosen the 2013 recipient of the Mobile Bar Association's Liberty Bell Award. The Liberty Bell Award was established more than 32 years ago by the American Bar Association to recognize an outstanding citizen who, by his or her services, promoted a better understanding of the Constitution, encouraged respect for the law and courts, stimulated a deeper sense of responsibility and/or fostered a better understanding and appreciation of the rule of law.Mrs. Littleton was presented with her award at the annual Law Day Luncheon of the Mobile Bar Association on May 24. Past Liberty Bell recipients include: Casi Calloway, Joseph Langan; Mary Zoghby; Johnnie Sue Watts; Archbishop Oscar Lipscomb; Judge Michael Zoghby; John U. Mobile Bar Association Honors Doris W. Littleton with 2013 Liberty Bell Award
Our Objectives:•Provide a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Create a welcoming and secure space where women feel comfortable sharing their struggles and beginning their recovery journey. •Promote Spiritual Growth and Healing: Offer an inter-denominational program that allows opportunities for faith exploration, reflection, and growth, providing resources and guidance to help women strengthen their faith. •Implement Evidence-Based Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize evidence-based practices, including individual counseling, group therapy, and psychoeducation, tailored to address the unique needs and challenges of women recovering from substance abuse. •Promote Family Reconciliation: Offer resources to help women rebuild trust, mend relationships, and foster a supportive network of loved ones in their journey toward recovery.
Admission Criteria: This program is specifically designed for women aged 18 and above who are seeking support and treatment for substance abuse issues. Prospective participants should demonstrate a genuine desire and commitment to overcoming their substance abuse challenges and actively engage in the treatment process. Individuals seeking admission will undergo a comprehensive assessment by our intake counselor. NOTE: We are not a medical facility and do not accept insurance. Individuals with certain medical, mental, or emotional conditions may not meet the criteria for admittance, so a different level of care may be suggested.

The Home of Grace for Women is blessed to have a board of directors consisting of 24 professional men and women. With a heart to serve, they meet every other month to help make important decisions in this ministry's vision and overall growth.
